Taru Lehtinen (o.s. Lindberg) is a doctoral student, researcher and housing design teacher in Tampere University (TAU), School of Architecture. As a member of ASUTUT – Sustainable Housing Design research group, Lehtinen studies architectural spatial and passive design solutions for ecological sustainability in housing design. Ecological sustainability focus is related to energy efficiency and carbon footprint of the buildings, not forgetting the essential qualitative factors such as delight and human well-being. As a housing design teacher, her interest is to share up-to-date knowledge in teaching, working interactively with the students. Lehtinen has been working in TAU (previous Tampere University of Technology, TUT) since 2015 and she has been proceeding with her PhD research since 2016.
